CLO #1

Course Learning Outcome #1:

“Acknowledge your and others’ range of linguistic differences as resources and draw on these resources to develop rhetorical sensibility.”

I achieved this course learning outcome by mainly focusing on who my audience would be for each project. This outcome basically states that I considered the diversity of the languages I and other people know and used it to my own advantage for developing the rhetorical elements of my writings. One example of me achieving this CLO is defining terms in my scientific narrative, “An Apple a Day, Keeps the Grade an A”, so that my audience, who were mostly urban parents, could understand the scientific terms I was using. This is me being able to translate my science jargon into Layman’s/general public terms to consider my audience, one of the rhetorical elements.
