Course Learning Outcome #5

“Engage in genre analysis and multimodal composing to explore effective writing across disciplinary contexts and beyond.”

I have definitely achieved this outcome. In this class, we were assigned multiple homework questions that allowed us to analyze genres from different readings over the course of the semester. We focused on informative reviews, scientific narratives, and position papers. The genre analysis questions allowed us to also learn the conventions for each genre. I was able to engage in multimodal composing for the last project we had. I wrote a position paper, made a flyer with a voice-over, and gave an oral presentation.
